Our Story

This is the view from our front deck, as well as the collies favorite field to play in.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Kennel story starts in the 1970’s when after college years ended, I started taking in collie dogs that had been abandoned or temporarily needed a place to stay. The first dog I bought was a border collie named Sky Bright. She was my constant companion as I moved from place to place, and just an amazing dog. When I finally had a few acres in western Oregon, the collie foster home situation began. I was fortunate to have had a very tolerant husband as my canine family grew to 10+ occasional litters. I was totally hooked on collies. Then when I had my first human baby I became so totally immersed in motherhood and child rearing that the dog obsession faded. Over the years since those early days I have had several different breeds of dogs and for a period raised Whippets in my home. Then in 2006 the Collie desire returned. I located a beautiful female in a Vet’s kennel in Tennessee and a very handsome male from an area near Dallas, Texas. So our new Collie family was created with Christmas Joy, and Cowboy. Our first litter was born in August 2007. We raise our dogs with tons of love and affection. They have an acre+ field to run and play in and I now have my Collie heaven again.
